Principal's Welcome message August 09
Dear Windemere Ranch families:
Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year! I trust your summer was restful and that your students are ready to return, learn and succeed. We are proud that we were recently named a California Distinguished School and we look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence. We are committed to our mission, which is for all students to learn at high levels and to become responsible, productive citizens. To achieve our mission we must work together as a learning community. To that end, I encourage you to get involved at the school and join our Parent-Teacher-Student Association (PTSA).
I would like to encourage you to support the Windemere Ranch Education Foundation. For the 2009-2010 school year, the foundation has again committed to funding additional class sections that will reduce the number of students in each of our academic classes - core, math, and science, with the goal of keeping these class sizes at thirty or less, and allow us to continue to offer a comprehensive elective program. In addition, the fund will continue to support technology for the school. This support is vital in order to ensure that we are able to offer your child the best program possible. Without this support our class size average would be more than 34:1 and we would not be able to offer many of our elective classes, nor have the needed support for our school’s technology. So, please support your student’s education by donating to our education fund.
This year with our efforts to be more environmentally friendly, we are putting many of our forms and flyers on-line. On this website you will find electronic copies of our class supply lists, bell schedule, school and district calendar, and other useful documents.
Enjoy the remaining days of summer break and encourage your students to keep reading. I am confident that by working together we are going to have another wonderful school year.
Sincerely,
Dave Bolin
Principal
